
William Fu
William is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). He has a deep connection providing counselling and psychological therapy services to the Chinese-speaking community as well as people from other culturally and linguistically diverse groups. William has a wide array of special interests particularly those focusing on the mind body connection.
William is trained in clinical hypnotherapy, completing training in Clinical Hypnosis in 2020 with the Australian Society of Hypnosis. He uses this principle evidence-based treatment most notably in helping people manage functional gut disorders.
He also has a special interest in eating disorders and is credentialed by the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). Through working with people suffering from functional gut disorders he recognised a higher occurrence of disordered eating behaviours amongst people experiencing gut issues. William continues to practice in this area where he incorporates an eclectic approach of evidence-based strategies to help clients manage their conditions.
William is an accredited SIRA provider delivering psychological services to people who have experienced motor vehicle accidents or workplace injuries. His style of therapy and counselling involves a collaborative and holistic approach to help people not only manage their problems but also to understand the nature of their problems so they can self-manage in future. William provides psychometric assessments, including cognitive assessments, and utilises a diverse array of evidence-based tools to tailor the best approach for each individual.
